I can't believe how hard it is to pick colors for my new website! I don't remember it being this hard when I chose the colors to paint each room in my home. I have tried so many colors my head is spinning. I wanted something wild at first but then after seeing the bright colors I had in mind I thought people would not be able to look at my images after being blinded by the bright orange splash page...no, something simpler would do - but what? Plain white? Black maybe? I am going crazy with this one little tiny detail. It's just a splash page!

Whew! I have changed it so many times...I think I like the first one the best too.

I actually really like the 2nd one. I like the simple white background.
Why do you wanna change the colour? I really love the one you have. It seems elegant and modern.
I think your first example works the best as the text is easier to read and easier on the eyes. Although black is common for backgrounds, people find it harder to read white or coloured text that black on white background.
